Ritual - Mayterials week 2

A small scene built entirely in substance designer.
The scene is entirely lit by its own emissive texture.
Base mesh is a tessellated plane.
----
The material is based on the #mayterials prompt "Ritual"
I got delayed with my mayterials because my computer broke and it took a while to get a replacement. But it was fun to finish this one up at least. I ended up working on it across a few afternoons.

The walls and windows were kind of tricky, because they have to stand mostly vertical. You can't poke out details sideways, so I really had to think about how to build up detail at a strange angle.
The brick textures on the walls are like a very steep staircase kind of shape in the height for instance. The seams between them are just negative space from the brick below.

Another obstacle is the amount of space you can use. I initially built things smaller in order to not have to creep up on the edges fo the plane, but this made certain details, like edges of individual bricks, almost invisible.

The color palette is kind of ugly when the scene is seen in regular lighting. I wanted the scene to be self-illuminated, but the light sources that made sense to me within the context of the scene are quite orange in tint. I originally wanted to use more green around the scene for instance, but this is hard to see in orange light.
I also gave the followers very light robes, as they aren't very well lit but I wanted them to not fully disappear in the darkness.

Since this is a stand-alone scene I could take these kind of liberties with my material color choices.
